One of my favorite authors once said that you should do one thing every day that scares you. Unfortunately, for most people that “one thing” could easily be setting up a new marketing automation system. That’s why for the past few months we’ve been working on SpringBoard – SharpSpring’s help and user training system.
We approached SpringBoard with the mindset that it is a product unto itself. Translation – We actually sat down and planned out our help and training product and integrated it into every part of the SharpSpring application.
Sure, we have the standard “Help” page where you can watch all the product overview, getting started and how to videos. But we went a step further and strategically placed help and training tools inside the app for quick reference when you need some direction.
Here’s what we did.
Contextual Help Placement In The Slider
You can open SpringBoard on any page in the app by clicking the blue box in the top right corner. This opens the slider with videos and PDF’s relevant to whatever page you happen to be on within the app.
SpringBoard also features page overlays for each page within the app. These overlays will explain the functionality of every usable element on the page.
Product Tours And Setup Videos
The product tours and setup videos modal will appear the very first time you log into SharpSpring and will continue to show up until you deactivate it. Once deactivated, you can still pull it up from inside the SpringBoard slider. These videos will show you the functionalities of the different feature sets as well as show you how to set up their parameters to fit the needs of your business.
