AdWords Tracking Changes
SharpSpring on the Road!
Featured Resource: Top 5 Marketing Automation Lessons Learned What We’re Reading
Non-Editable Fields Designate particular information you want your sales and marketing teams to be able to see but not edit in Contact Manager. To make a field read-only, leave the “Editable in Contact Manager” box unchecked when creating custom fields. Note that the “Visible in Contact Manager” box must be checked in order to select the “Editable in Contact Manager” option.
New Membership Screen Gauge your interactions with a lead at a glance in the new Memberships tab. View marketing information for each lead from clickable tiles that have been organized into two sections: “Marketing Content and Tracking” and “Lists, Automations and Sales”. Quickly see the number of memberships a lead has in each category. Click the tile to see an expanded history.
Visitor ID Speed up your prospecting with Visitor ID. We’re improving this unique feature to work so fast, you’ll know when a visitor is on your site almost before they do. We’re also giving Visitor ID a mini-makeover with an even cleaner interface. Look for the new and improved Visitor ID under the Contacts dropdown.
New Media Center Help Document
Heard about Media Center? It’s a new feature that allows you to manage, send, and track click-throughs for your marketing and sales materials from one convenient place. Learn how with the Media Center help document.
ACTION REQUIRED: AdWords Tracking Changes
Google has changed the format for your tracking URLs. Previously, a Destination URL pointed to the web page that visitors reach when they click one of your ads. This URL contained not only the page address, but added tracking parameters, i.e., “?utm_source.” This upgrade basically splits the Destination URL into two parts, separating the URL from the tracking information.
As a result, the SharpSpring tracking in your AdWords campaigns needs to change. Please view this help article from Google for more information. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your account manager if you have any questions.
SharpSpring On The Road
SharpSpring is hosting some fun networking events around the country. This coming month, we’ll be in in Chicago (this week) and New York. These events are a perfect opportunity to network with other local marketing agencies while enjoying some drinks on us.
If you won’t be in the area but have a colleague who will be, please pass the invitation along. We also encourage you to invite anyone who might be interested in learning more about SharpSpring – we always appreciate referrals!
We will continue to update you as we announce new cities.
